Type Rating Courses
A license holder must possess a valid type rating in order to fly a specific helicopter type. Each helicopter type requires that the license holder has successfully passed a type course and check flight with a CAA-examiner.
For the moment, EHC can provide you with JAA-approved type
rating courses for five different helicopters according to
JAA-requirements:
- Robinson R22
- Robinson R44
- Eurocopter AS 350
- Eurocopter AS 355
- Bölkow BO 105
The course is divided in two parts, one theoretical part and a
flying training program with a minimum number of flying hours.
The theory part teaches the candidate about helicopter
construction, equipment and maintenance procedure and the candidate
must pass a written test.
Flying training consists of lecturing on the helicopter
performance and an approved flying training program containing a
specific minimum number of flight lessons (hours) with a type
rating instructor (TRI)
Upon course completion, the candidate will demonstrate his
knowledge and flying skills to a CAA-examiner during a type check
flight for the type rating.
EHC offers you N-CAA approved type rating course for Robinson R22. The R22 type rating qualifies you as PIC on the helicopter.
EHC offers you a N-CAA approved type rating course for the Robinson R44 which qualifies you as PIC on the helicopter and opens job opportunities in the helicopter market.
EHC offers you a N-CAA approved type rating course for the Eurocopter AS 350 B2 turbine powered helicopter, qualifying you as PIC on the most common “workhorse” world wide.
