Private pilot PPL (H)
When you are stuck in the endless city traffic – and late for a meeting – do you dream of flying your own helicopter? The solution for you may be a Private Pilot Licence giving you the right to fly a helicopter, carrying non-paying passengers. Take your family, friends or colleagues along for a pleasure flight or maybe visit your customers and business contacts – you can take off and land almost anywhere.
Would you like to get your own private helicopter license? EHC
offers you helicopter pilot training with a reputation for the
highest possible quality and standards. Each year we train 10 - 15
students for private pilot license. It is fully achievable for you
if you possess the motivation and normal health, we have trained
women and men aged from 17 till 65 for their PPL-H for more than
fourteen years.
The training will be adjusted to suit your professional or
family life; scheduling of course start and duration is tailored to
your available time. EHC tries to be flexible in adapting
PPL-training to the individual's needs. We offer classroom
teaching, individual teaching and "Distance Learning" via the
internet as part of the training regimen.
Modern Robinson R22 and R44 training helicopters has
substantially reduced the training costs for the PPL (H). An
estimated 85% of all new civilian helicopter pilots are trained on
Robinson helicopters. A popular first step for people who want to
know more about flying a helicopter is a trial lesson in the R22
(cost NOK 2.800). This includes a detailed pre-flight ground
briefing and 40 minutes of flying time. During the flight, the
student is encouraged to get a feel for himself by taking the
controls under supervision.
We can even offer you "the whole package": ownership of a new
private helicopter together with the training leading to a license.
Since 1994, EHC has been the Norwegian Dealer and Service Centre
for Robinson Helicopter Company (US), the producer of the worlds
most popular and best selling helicopters with more than 7500 units
sold to date. www.robinsonheli.com.
We are proud of the standard of instruction here at European
Helicopter Center. Our attention to the individual, his needs and
progress is underlined by our policy of assigning a designated
instructor/mentor for each student for the majority of the course.
EHC instructors also train professional pilot students and the
training program exceeds N-CCA requirements for PPL-H.
Our PPL-H students can now benefit from EHC online theory
distance learning and exam preparation and thus getting increased
training flexibility and access.
