Licenses/Courses

All courses and typeratings are according to JAR-FCL 2, and are based on a combination of theoretical and practical instruction in classrooms, helicopters and/or simulators.

    Commercial Pilot CPL (H)

    Private pilot PPL (H)

    When you are stuck in the endless city traffic – and late for a meeting – do you dream of flying your own helicopter? The solution for you may be a Private Pilot Licence giving you the right to fly a helicopter, carrying non-paying passengers. Take your family, friends or colleagues along for a pleasure flight or maybe visit your customers and business contacts – you can take off and land almost anywhere.

    Implementation of JAR FCL-2 training regulations and high demand for new helicopter pilots, have caused a shortage of qualified helicopter instructors.

    Type Rating Courses

    A license holder must possess a valid type rating in order to fly a specific helicopter type. Each helicopter type requires that the license holder has successfully passed a type course and check flight with a CAA-examiner.

    Night flying check out

    This course qualifies pilots holding a PPL-H for flying at night (between official sunset and sunrise).

    Conversion FAA to JAR

    Pilots with training and license issued in countries outside the JAA region (Europe), typically the United States (FAA regulations) must convert their licenses to JAA licenses to work as pilots in JAA countries.
